Printed short sleeve in black. Round collar. Ultra-soft cotton. A remix of Daguerre's Boulevard du Temple by contemporary artist Pavel Gitnik adorns the front.
Taken in 1838 in Paris, it is thought to be the first photograph taken of humans.
The scene depicts 2 men, a shoeshine and his customer. They were the only ones standing still long enough for the long exposure to catch them. The rest of the passerby on this busy Paris morning were written out of history like Leo Gorcey from the Sgt. Pepper cover.
Bowery Boy Leo Gorcey wanted $400 for the use of his picture on the Beatles cover and so the boys passed on including him (the cover depicts the who’s who of 60’s pop culture).
